Miracles don't just happen, they happen to the right people.

Hello world it's a special thing when a friend gets married. If you can't tell I'm happy for my bud. And I'm not talking the marijuana kind. Aaron and Joey Barker found the thing everyone dreams about. To elope to not just Vegas but to Hawaii. I think we can all give this guy a thumbs up.

They had a ring ceremony 17 days later in Utah. I just wanted to put one of my favorite pictures of the night in this blog. This proves that you can look suave and express your inner child at the same time

I also ran into my not so old friends there, Justin and Vanessa Eyre. Justin just didn't want me to forget about all the good times we had. That's all I can say about that. :)

It's officially fall and the first thing to kick off the season is none other than throwing on the lobster apron and put up the years leftovers. Amy just learned how to preserve things and I'm learning how to be supportive. This picture shows where we were blanching tomatoes. For those that don't know what that is, it is removing the skin with boiling water. Yeah I had to learn too.
With our new power of food storage it will bring us closer to food domination. I know Mortal Kombat has coveted this skill for decades...well at least since the 80's. I think I'll turn it into a combo: X, B, A, square, triangle, power button, Y, Up, down, Up, select, whammy bar. It's fool proof.

Monson Look-alike Meter

Look-alike Meter

I thought this was kind of fun and interesting. It's official. Tali looks more like Brian than me. She's already a daddy's girl and now she looks like him too. I hope our next child will be a "momma's child." I'm just kidding. I don't really care. I think it's a good thing Tali looks more like Brian. At least now we know where she gets her good looks! :D

4 MONTHS OLD!

I took these photos of Tali today and was totally blown away with how big she's gotten in only four months! She's actually old enough to have rice cereal now.

My friend Chelsey and I went out to celebrate with cheesecake! It was awesome!

Tali now does this kind of growl thing that is just hilarious! Oh, and she will just put the charm on right at naptime so you don't think she's tired. Then you can't possibly get mad at her for not going to sleep because she just flashes her big beautiful eyes at you and smiles her adorable gummy grin. She's so funny and man is she photogenic?

One thing that I've learned about her is when she's about to fall asleep, she will grab my face or hair or she will be looking for my hand to hold it. It's so precious. We just love her!

We wanted to share these photos with all of you guys because we got quite a kick out of them.

GOOD TIMES DESPITE DISAPPOINTMENTS

Yesterday our power went out in our neighborhood around 2:30pm as Brian was leaving for work. He left only to discover that he couldn't get out of our neighborhood because some FedEx truck had run into a power pole which incidentally was blocking the exit of it. He had to turn around and come back home. That's okay though. I was secretly glad because I got to have a few more hours with him. He ended up having to take a half day due to the power lines being down. We ended up reading Breaking Dawn together and FINALLY finished it! We loved all of the books but we were a little disappointed with how it ended.

Brian decided we would need some oil lamps in case of real emergencies so I went to go buy a couple at Walmart. I didn't want to be alone with Tali in the dark so my very good friend Chelsey was so kind to take us. We got hungry so we went out to eat at Arby's. We got our food and sat down. We started eating and the power went out there too. It was so weird! We just couldn't help but laugh.

FUN & RELAXATION

I had come across this video and I couldn't help but laugh at the way Brian was playing with Tali. He would probably be so embarrassed if he knew I posted this, but I thought it was pretty cute and funny! What a good daddy!

I took this video the other day. I thought Tali's responses were pretty funny.

I also took these photos the other day after Tali woke up from her nap. She looked so cute, I just had to post these photos.

S.O.S TO SUPERMOM!

Have you ever had the feeling that people were staring at you in a public place (church, the store, etc.) questioning your abilities as a parent as you're frantically looking for a way to calm down your baby? Oh, yeah. I am in that phase now. Tali is just about four months now and it seems like lately she has just been so difficult. It is emotionally as well as physically exhausting!!!

The last few weeks I have been having this struggle with Tali. She has had a really hard time with naps and I don't know why. She used to be such a pro, I don't know what changed. I've felt so numb lately because I don't know what to do. I almost hate to go anywhere especially church because I kind of feel like I'm surrounded by these perfect mom's who gloat at their perfect little well behaved babies. I almost dread Sundays because I know I'm going to go through the same routine of trying to calm her down while she's squealing and screaming and then going out several times all the while having several pairs of eyes on me wondering why I can't calm my baby down. The most frustrating part is not knowing what is wrong when you have gone through every possibility under the sun! I still go to church regardless of the struggle.

HELP! Any suggestions would be helpful!

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

I took this first photo of Tali yesterday while she was napping. I went in to check on her and this is how Brian and I found her. I thought it was so funny! I couldn't help myself! Thankfully, she didn't wake up! Tali has been having a hard time with naps lately and it has been really hard on me as well. I'm sure you mothers can sympathize.

I took this other picture today. She just looked so cute! She was watching Sesame Street. I thought it was so funny that she was concentrating so hard on it. I think when your almost 4 month old baby is that focused on a TV show, you know the TV is on too much!

Brian and I had an interesting experience recently at the DMV. We had to get his temporary license renewed so he could go take his motorcycle test. I was already nervous because the DMV is crawling with creepy people as it is, and being in a crowded place with Tali didn't help the situation either. Eventhough, I knew nothing would happen, considering there are police officers all over the DMV, I couldn't help but feel like a paranoid first time mom. I sat there reading one of the Twilight books just waiting for Brian when this shady-lookin' woman approaches me and asks "how old?" I didn't answer her because I thought she was talking to someone behind me. She looked at me again and asked "how old?" I told her how old Tali was and then she said "yeah, I have an 18 month old and just lost twins." Hello! Big, red flag! Can we say "CREEPY?!?" That threw me into super protective parent mode! And if that wasn't enough to make me nervous, she then asked if she could see her. I had a blanket covering her stroller because she was sleeping. I didn't want to be rude, so I reluctantly and nervously pulled the cover back so she could see Tali. She then proceeded to tell me how cute Tali was. I know she was probably just trying to be nice, but she was kind of creepy! I don't mean to be rude or conceded or anything, but I felt like saying "yes, I know my baby is very cute. Now could you please back away from my child before I have to hurt you?!? I don't know why but people like that tend to make me a little overprotective. Especially if I don't know them. It's very flattering that people think she's so cute, but scary too.
