It's my party!

A few days ago, I celebrated my first birthday! I'm officially 1 year old! I've still got it!

When I woke up from my nap, my Daddy brought me out of my room to surprise me with this. I couldn't wait to get my hands on those balloons!

My Mommy had decorated our house for me. She even let me play with some of the balloons! I was so excited! That was really fun!

Mommy & Daddy stayed close to make sure I didn't try to eat the balloons though.

My Daddy is the best Daddy EVER! He decorated a ladybug cake just for me! Yes, that's right. My Daddy did it!

Isn't my Daddy the bestest?

My family showed up and even brought me gifts. I'm kind of liking this birthday thing. I got all kinds of cute clothes and some really cool books!

After we opened presents, it was on to the good stuff.....CAKE & ICECREAM!!!
At first I have to admit I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do when Mommy put it in front of me. Usually she feeds me. I finally figured it out though...hehehe.
I couldn't believe Mommy was actually letting me make a mess! I ended up taking full advantage of the situation.........

....and LOVED every minute of it!

My friend Olivia even came over and played with me while our parents talked.

By the end of the night, Mommy and Daddy were incredible pooped....and by that I mean they were really tired.....not me. I was wide awake.....

What? This, oh ummm....no. I wasn't getting tired! I was.....uhhh.... I was just looking for one of my toys...yeah that's right. I was looking for one of my toys. I promise!

It was a really fun birthday! I could get used to this birthday thing.

What do I think about it being over...........?
Does that answer your question?

Happy Mothers Day!

Here is a shout out to all you wonderful and totally awesome Mommies out there!

For Mother's day, my totally awesome hubby got me some peonies and my favorite tree (red Japanese Maple) for our backyard. We had such an awesome time planting our new additions to our yard on our Anniversary. We are officially done planting in our yard! YAY!!! Brian did it for me for our Anniversary/Mothers Day. What a good hubby! Here are some pictures of our yard.
It doesn't look as good as it normally does because I haven't had a chance ot weed the front planting areas by the sidewalk, but other than that, it normally looks really good.

This is our backyard. See my pretty tree in the back corner? It looks kind of bare because most of the plants we planted were from seed and hadn't popped out of the ground yet. It's ginormous!....well, it's bigger than we've ever had.

For our anniversary, Brian took me to see the best "chick flick" EVER!....Brian had taken me to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. What a romantic! Hahaha! We actually agreed to go see it since we don't get to see movies very often. I highly recommend it....especially if you're a Hugh Jackman fan! After the movie, we came home, worked in the garden and had a BBQ in the backyard. It was SOOOO nice! I absolutely LOVED it! Here are some of the pictures.

Tali really LOVED roasting marshmallows. In fact, she actually got upset when we were all done roasting them.

She loves me. See? I have proof!

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mommies!

Four Years!

Four years ago today I married my best friend. He is such a wonderful husband! He has taught me so much and has blessed my life in so many ways.

I remember the first time I saw him, I knew that he would have affect my life somehow....plus he was really hot! He certainly kept me on my toes though. We got to be such good friends and did everything together. He was so charming and funny I couldn't help but want to be around him.

Our wedding day was so beautiful! It really felt and looked just like Heaven. I remember looking at him that day thinking I was the luckiest girl ever to find someone as wonderful as him and he was now my husband! Four years later I still feel the same way. He doesn't know this, but I still get giddy sometimes when he calls or comes home from work. I can't wait to see him. In the mornings I get so excited for him to wake up just so I can see and talk to him.

Brian I love you so very much! I am the luckiest woman EVER! You are the man of my dreams! Thanks for always making me laugh. I'm so excited to spend eternity with you....I still think I got the better end of the deal though. Hahaha. Just kidding. I can't even begin to tell you how much you mean to me. You are my Heaven!
I love you babe!
Happy Anniversary!

I LOVE SPRING!!!

New month, new post, new garden! OH YEAH! I figured since it was the start of a new month, I should probably post something.

Here are some photos I took of our front yard before we did any weeding or planted anything near the sidewalk.
Here are our beautiful tulips. Aren't they so pretty?

If you look closely on the right hand side of this picture, you can see Brian waving. He had just finished mowing and edging the lawn. Those two front planting areas by the sidewalk were such a pain to weed! We're hoping to get a curbed border around our flower beds soon. Can't wait!

Today, just like the past few days, Brian, Tali and I have been working in our garden. We had decided to make it bigger...in fact it is actually about the length of our yard (excluding the shed obviously) and about three to four feet out! "I'm SO EXCITED and I just can't hide it!" We are planting a lot of food! In our backyard, we are planting corn, tomatoes, cantaloupe, beets, butternut and banana squash, as well as zucchini. I cannot wait! We planted the majority of it today, but I was very insistent on raking out our tilled up grass out of the garden. I'm hoping by tomorrow we can have it all raked up so we can plant some more seeds. I will post some before and after pictures of our garden once it's done. For now, here are some cute photos I took of Tali as we (mainly Brian) were working in the garden.

She was pretending to talk to her Daddy on the phone. What a cutie!

Tali had to show off her hat that Nanna Monson bought for her.

She was far too interested in what Daddy was doing in the garden.

Daddy's little ladybug.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Our oven is now fixed! Whoo hoo! I cannot be happier. I have been CRAVING some yummy brownies. By the way, if you want to stock up on brownies for food storage, they have the Pillsbury brand at Walmart for $1.00 each.....we have 10! :D
I know it's not a years worth....but it's a start! Hahahaha!
