Spring Is Poppin' Up All Over!

I was so thrilled to see the signs of the weather getting warmer!  I could see the grass without snow, and plants are starting to pop up out of the ground!  WHOO HOO!  OH YEAH!

My precious plants!  How I've missed you!
The plant in the middle is my pretty prunella plant which has purple flowers in the Spring/Summer and they are surrounded by my tulips!
 Here are my tulips!
These are my happy yellow narcissus (mini daffodils) plants!
 My purple irises!
I don't know what these flowers are or what color they will be because this is the first year they have come up.
These are my garlic!  I LOVE having fresh garlic, onions and fresh herbs!  It makes food taste SO much better!
YAY!  I can't wait for Spring!  Today Brian and I went and bought more seeds for our garden.  Most of which we can't plant yet, but I'm getting Spring Fever BAD!

Out With The Old, In With The New!

This past Thursday Brian received his new scooter!  Whoo hoo!  Just in time too.  Gas prices at Costco hit $3.10 a gallon!  HOLY MACKERAL!  We're now just waiting to get it legalized.  Here are some photos of his new scooter and his crappy old scooter.

"Out with the old....
 And in with the new!"
I like how it's more sleek and not as bulky as the old one.  Maybe I'll have the hubby take me on it for a date.  :)

Sillies

A couple weeks ago, Brian was able to make it to his parent's house for Sunday dinner.  While we were there he was feeding Jairus a bottle but also keeping him warm with a blanket.  When I looked over, it looked like he was trying to nurse him.  It was so funny I of course had to take a picture!
I also took this photo of Tali and her Uncle Matt.  They both have the same gap in their front teeth.  Tali likes hanging out with her uncle Matt.
That same Sunday, I took this video of Tali.  It was so funny I had to share it.  I love my family!  They are so awesome!

7 Months Old!

Here are some photo I took of the little man at 7 months old.
This picture of my little man just cracks me up!  He has some of the funniest expressions!
 See what I mean?
He can't wait to get into the chocolate.  He'll have to wait a while.
How can anyone not love this sweet adorable little face?
His smile just melts my heart!  I love my little man!

Valentine Fun

A few days before Valentine's Day, some good friends of ours came over to help decorate cupcakes for Valentines.  Tali had a blast making them with a couple of her friends.  She's such a cutie patootie!

Say cheese!  Haha!  I love it!  At least they were all looking at the camera right?

The Friday before Valentine's Day, my hubby was FINALLY able to take a Friday night/Saturday morning off.  We met with a couple of friends for dinner at our house (which I neglected to take pictures of) and then afterward went to a stake dance.  It was a '50's themed dance with a band and lots of fun decorations.  Needless to say since we didn't know beforehand what the theme was, we were dressed fancy.  It was fun anyway.  I guess Brian and I were having a bit too much fun because people I had never met came up to talk to me and was commenting on how much fun we looked like we were having.  They were so nice!  It was really nice to make a fool of ourselves and not really care or worry what other people thought about how we were dancing.  I love dating my hubby!

Tute Friends

A friend of mine I had known from Institute had called me one day and wanted to have a reunion for friends we made while attending the LDS Institute.  It was interesting seeing where everyone was in life and hearing about their families and even seeing one of their little ones.  I do have to admit though, it was a little awkward.  I had kind of sort of dated one of the guys (the one with the baby) and my guy friend that planned the reunion had dated one of the women there who was with her hubby and two kids.  There was very little we could talk about, mainly because everyone was at different stages in there livers.  There were some things we still had in common though so that made it a bit easier. Anyway, we did have fun.  It was nice to get out of the house and go out with the hubby without the kiddos.  Here are some photos from our little reunion.
My friend on the left dated the chick to the right.  We always tried so hard to get those guys married....she found her hubby though and is happy.

The couple on the right had been so nervous with their little one.  I think he was only about two weeks or months younger than our little guy.  This couple was so cute.  I had to tell the mom that most people really don't pay attention to a crying baby and if they do it's only because they have been there before.  They were afraid they were bothering other people.  Seeing their little boy made me really miss my kiddos.
I've really got to find a way to take a photo like this without my butt looking extremely HUGE.  Maybe I should just "eat less and move more."  (That was a quote from an SNL episode)  Hahaha!  Anyway, that was our night.

The Time Has Come!

On Monday (January 31st), Tali started the dreaded potty training process.  When we had tried before, she had a hard time with going poop and she wasn't really interested at the time.  I decided it was time to start because she knows how to do everything, she just didn't want to do it.  I was also getting really sick of having to buy two sets of diapers.  It gets pretty expensive!  It would cost us around $100 a month for both kids including wipes.

On Monday, we put Tali in big girl panties.  She wasn't too thrilled about it, but shortly after we put them on her, she ran to the potty and said "Mommy I went poop!"  I actually didn't believe her until I checked on her.  She did it!  WHOO HOO!  Ever since then, she's been sitting on the potty a lot and has been getting potty prizes.  I've had to put them in plain sight to remind her what happens when she goes in the potty.  We mainly just bought little dinky $1 toy prizes like little rings, bracelets, star wands, stickers, chapstick, etc.  Thankfully since Monday, she has only had a few accidents.  I still put her in diapers at nap time and bedtime or if we go anywhere.  I am so incredibly proud of her!  YAY TALI!!!  She's a big girl now!

IT STILL FITS!!!!

Brian has been asking me for a while if I still fit in my wedding dress.  My response has been the same.  "I don't know."  Sunday, Brian had told me that he "forgot" what I looked like in my wedding dress.  I asked him if he wanted to watch our wedding video because that will show him what I looked like in it.  Well, he and Tali both convinced me to try it on...veil, puffy skirt and all.  Of  course I had to take pictures and model it!
I forgot how much I loved my wedding dress!
Tali was so cute!  She wanted to dress up too!
Almost 6 years and two kids later, the dress still fits...
 and I couldn't be happier!

Tali's Day Out

About two weeks ago, we needed to get out of the house.  We ended up taking our kiddos out for some family fun.  We had received a gift card to the Gateway Discovery Museum for Christmas so we packed up the kids and went.  We decided to take the Trax Line.  Tali thought it was the coolest thing ever to ride the "train."
Tali was so excited to spend the day with Daddy....
 Jairus obviously didn't care much.
Tali was just dancing with excitement.  She was so funny to watch.
When we finally got on the Trax, she kept looking at me with the biggest smile.  She felt pretty special to take the Trax.  It was really nice for us because we didn't have to worry about parking downtown.

When we got to the museum, we went to put the bracelet thing on her and she started FREAKING OUT!  I noticed that we needed to change her bumb, so I took her into the bathroom and she was throwing the BIGGEST tantrum.  It was all because of the bracelet.  I was so incredibly embarrassed.  She was screaming like we were beating her or something.  I had to apologize to the people in the bathroom and tell them that she wasn't normally like that.  When she FINALLY calmed down, she had the time of her life!  There was so much to do, but we had to kind of hurry because Brian had to get home and go to bed.
She really liked playing in this hut.  Mainly because no one was in there.  It was really packed when we went.
Here's Tali just chillin' out on the sofa that was in the little hut.
Even though Jairus was too little to do much, he still enjoyed hanging out with Daddy.
 I love my boys!
Tali and Jairus liked being on this seahorse teeter-totter together.
I was kind of surprised that Tali was kind of afraid of being on this horse.  We just had her on it long enough for a picture.
Here she is sleeping on the job! :)

Since we hardly ever go downtown, Brian and I thought it would be fun to go to the Clark Planetarium.  I think Tali may have been done for the day.  I told her she was on Mars, but she wasn't convinced.
Her expression in this photo makes me laugh!
I really thought she'd like being on the "moon," but again, she was less than impressed.
In her defense, it was her nap time.  We had fun though.

Love Is Spoken Here

Tali loves her little brother so much!  I could not be happier.  Before I had Jairus, people told me that I would need to watch out because she would get jealous and probably try to hurt him.  I've actually been pretty lucky.  She is such a good big sister!  Every morning when she wakes up, she's always so excited to see Jairus.  She always says in this really cute sweet voice "Hi Jairus!"  She even starts talking sweet to him and copying what I say to him.  It is so adorable!

Here are some photos I took of the kids.
I love Jairus's face in this picture!
"...I can often feel the Savior near when
Love is spoken here!"
