Birthday Boy

For Brian's Birthday this last year, he got a new set of wrenches which have come in pretty handy!
He also got some Fruit/Turkish Delights, The Last Olympian (the last book in the Lightning Thief Percy Jackson series), and a dual Belgian waffle maker.
And instead of birthday cake, we had a homemade apple pie which was pretty yummy!
Later that night, we decided to take the kids downtown to see the lights.  Especially since the kids had never been.  When we got to Temple Square, I surprised Brian by taking him and the kids on a carriage ride.  They absolutely loved the carriage ride!
 Gosh, I love my boys!
Me and my baby girl.  She was my little caroling buddy.  We would sing the songs that would come on the radio and she kept waving to everyone.  She was really getting a kick out of the whole thing.
Yeah, Tali wasn't diggin' the cold.  She was ready to go home.
 Love this!
Apparently, Tali wasn't the only one ready to leave.
 Smile pretty!  :)
All in all, it was a great day.

First Thanksgiving

So this past year, I hosted and cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner.  I was pretty excited.  I heard of cooking a Thanksgiving turkey in a paper bag and with rosemary and a few other herbs.  I got the idea from my previous Bishop's wife.  The turkey turned out pretty tender.  I was quite surprised.

Hehe.  I wanted to get an idea of what the turkey really looked like.  I was pretty excited considering it was my first time cooking a turkey by myself.
Cheese!
Here goes nothin'

 It's turkey time!
 I love food!
 Let the feast begin!
