Potty Training

We are currently potty training our little Zachy. Today, he did awesome!  He woke up dry and was ALL DAY! He was dry clear up until I left from 7:00-8:30pm.  He has been so awesome!  I just hope he can keep it up! He's getting so excited to start preschool. It will be interesting to just be home all morning with little Silas. Maybe I'll actually get things done.

Family Time

On June 5th, my oldest brother Mike and his family were in town for a wedding, but we were able to spend some time with him.  We sat and visited for a little while and I learned a lot from my older brother.  I hope one day to be as loving and patient with my kids as he is with his kids.  While we visited, the kids played and apparently wore each other out.  They must have had a lot of fun because when we got home that night, Jairus couldn't even make it through scriptures.

The next day we went to the zoo.  The kids loved it.  We rode the train (and our train attendant's name was Silas which I thought was pretty cool), the carousel, went to the bird show and just had fun.  They loved spending time with their cousins.  My nieces and nephews loved playing with all of my kids, but they kept wanting to hold Silas and looking after Zach.  It was so great.  

Brother Bonding

On June 5th I took these pictures of Jairus and Zach playing in the backyard together.  It was so adorable.  Zach would do what Jairus was doing and they were just laughing and having a lot of fun.  They would both run from the fence behind the swing set and throw themselves on their bellies on the swings and swing back and forth.  Then, they decided to sit on the swing, twist it around and then let it spin.  Zach must have been a little more adventurous because right before they started spinning, he'd stick his feet up in the air.  It was pretty funny to watch.  I wish I could get videos to download on here from my iPad.  Oh well.

Silly Silas

I'm trying to update because so much has gone on since summer break started.

On June 2nd, I was able to catch these cute photos of our little Silas.  Looks like he takes after his daddy.  Haha!  

Oh my gosh, I love this boy!  He cracks me up!  

Our New Additions

Today Brian and I found out what was missing in our lives.  There have been some new changes that will be coming soon.  I know what you may be thinking "more Monsons?!?!?"  Well....yes....and no.  We are not pregnant if that is what you are thinking.  We both feel we are done having babies.  We are however expanding our garden which is exciting.  We have added some new plants that will hopefully do well.

Since it is so late in the season to plant stuff, I had to buy the plants.  I actually got this plant for free!  I'm really hoping this cantaloupe will produce good fruit.  I would love to try freeze drying some!
