Temple open house & a fat lip

This morning Brian, Talitha & I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was really pretty. As we were taking the tour though, we kind of felt like a little rushed. As we passed pictures of Jesus, I tried to show Tali the pictures and tell her about them. She was so cute! She really liked the baptismal font though. She thought that was pretty cool.

It was a really good day today. I was so glad I didn't have much of a fat lip anymore....especially for the pictures.

Last night I learned a very important lesson....don't roll over to get more comfortable when sleeping in the same bed as Brian. It will result in either a black eye or a fat lip. That's right. My husband gave me a fat lip. No, it wasn't intentional. What happened was last night he was sleeping on his back and just happened to have his hand behind his head with his elbow in my direction. I roll over and BAM! It felt like I took a chunk out of my lip or put my tooth through my bottom lip or something. Brian was freaking out and apologizing profusely and me, I calmly go to the bathroom to assess the damage. Luckily it didn't need stitches. It really wasn't that bad at all. I had a small cut, a bruise and a fat lip. By morning the "fatness" was just about gone. I'll bet by the post title made you think Brian got in a fight with someone at the temple huh???? Nope. I was just fighting Brian in his sleep for territory of my side of the bed. Apparently I lost that one. Brian had told me later this morning that he was afraid to move at all the rest of the night in fear that he would elbow me in the face again. I just had to laugh.

In other news, Tali is finally trying to start to feed herself! Whoo Hoo! She sure is learning so much so fast. When I took her in for her 0ne year check up the other day, she weighed 18lbs. and was in the 6th percentile! She apparently has her daddy's metabolism.

I'm sorry to hear about the fat lip. Apparently the Monson boys have some sleeping quirks. I guess this is Brians. Some people in our family also snore. hehehehe
Maybe you need to wear a helmet while sleeping. hehehehe

18 pounds? yeah, sam is already 16 and he's only 5 months. :) but for girls small can't be bad.
well i'm the one that accidentally punches brent in the face in his sleep. it does make you feel bad when it's an accident! :)
