I am officially a soccer mom! Today, Brian and I went to our local fitness center and signed up Tali for soccer! I am so excited and so is she. We even got her a cute pink soccer ball. Her soccer will start mid-April. She won't be three until May, but we were able to get permission from the person in charge of it. I cannot wait to see her "play." She'll probably just stand around or something, but that's okay. We are all so excited!
Recently, I signed up to run my first 5K. This is HUGE for me. I haven't really been much of a runner, but I do enjoy it. For some reason, it helps me clear my head and it is a big stress reliever. One of my friends in my ward posted on Facebook that she was doing a local run that was free and since I've been thinking about doing a 5K for quite some time I figured this would be a great motivator to do it. The only problem was, the running shoes I did have weren't really all that great. So, I bought some new ones! When I went in to buy some running shoes, the place I went had me run on the treadmill to see how my feet hit the ground. I guess that also helps them better to recommend shoes to their customers. The woman that was helping me said that I had really good form when I ran which I thought was pretty awesome! Now I have new running shoes! Just in time for my 5K too. Here are the exact shoes that I bought!
I LOVE THEM!!!! They are so incredibly comfortable to walk/run in! Now I can't wait to go running in them!

Crawlin' Like A Pro
Yesterday (03-26-11) our little man started crawling for the first time! It was kind of interesting because he would look like he was going to take off crawling so many times before, but would end up getting around by getting up on his knees then going up on his toes and roll around to his bum.
Yesterday, he was playing in Tali's room and as soon as Brian went in there, Jairus started heading for his daddy. He started crawling just like a little pro. He wasn't wobbly or anything. Now that he is more mobile and he knows he can get around, he just takes off. He gets this really excited look in his eyes because he's able to do more things. I love seeing my children grow and learn. I love being a mommy. It's so rewarding to see your children succeed at things. I LOVE YOU LITTLE MAN!

High Tech-y Kids
So recently Tali had discovered keyboards that we never use. Brian decided to entertain them by allowing Tali and Jairus to play with them. Tali kept saying "I'm fixing it." She was so proud of herself for "fixing the keyboard and mouse.
Here are the photos I took of them being all high tech-y.

Like father, like son!
"I'm fixin' it Mom!"
"See Mom. I fixed it!"
Sillies
The other day, Brian saw Tali lying on her floor (trying to hug it) and said "I love my room!" I the got the camera and tried to get a picture of her "hugging" her floor. Instead I got this.
"No Mom! Go away! No pictures Mom!"
So then I did what any other parent would do....I chased her around the house with the camera! Hahahaha!
"No Mom! I am MAD!"
She got that quote "We are MAD!" from The Backyardigans episode: The Legend of the Volcano Sisters. It's actually quite funny.

I must say even though she was "MAD," she still looks pretty cute!
Little Leprechauns
On Saint Patty's Day, I took some pictures of my little leprechauns. Here are some of the photos.
What a cute little Lassie!
Our sweet and innocent little leprechauns.
I think she may have had a little too much ale! Hahaha. Just kidding.
My little bubba looks like such a chunk in this picture, but he's really not.
She is such a good big sister. She absolutely adores her little brother.
More Cuteness!
Here are some pics I took of my little man in his new Sunday suit. Doesn't he look so handsome and sharp?
Some of the faces he pulls just make me laugh. Like this one for instance.

Caught Red Handed
One Sunday I was checking out a friend's blog. It showed pictures of her girls playing in my friend's make-up. Needless to say Tali saw this and decided she wanted to do the same thing while I was getting ready for church.
Brian was either asleep or preoccupied with something else. When he realized what Tali had done (she got lipstick all over the bathroom walls and her hands), he tried to clean it up before I noticed. He knew I would get upset. When I finally pushed my way into the bathroom door to discover the damage, this is how I found Tali.
At least she did a pretty descent job of getting it on her lips. Right? She told me she wanted to be "pretty like mommy." Now how could you get mad at that?

She Proposed. He Said Yes!
Yesterday I proposed to my hubby. Yes, I said proposed.
A few weeks ago Brian and I were wanting to get him an actual wedding ring. The one he had was one I had bought him for his birthday before we were even engaged. It was a Joseph Smith signature ring. When we got engaged, I asked him what kind of ring he would want. He told me that he wanted to use the ring I bought him (the signature ring) as our wedding ring as a sort of place holder until we could afford to get him the kind of ring he wanted. So we started looking for types of rings that he wanted and found the perfect one. We made the purchase and Brian jokingly told people that I was going to propose when we got it and that it was my turn to do the proposing. A few days later we were informed they didn't make that ring in his size. If we wanted that particular ring, we would have to have it custom made. We went to different jewelers and they all quoted us over $1000! The quotes were anywhere between $1300-$1500 for the setting alone! I then told him that we couldn't afford it. I decided in secret continue my quest of finding a jeweler that could make his ring exactly how we wanted it for a reasonable price.
I finally found a place not too far from our home that would make it for a killer price! They told me it would take about two weeks to get. I waited...impatiently, but I waited. I finally got it this past Wednesday (March 9th) and was having such a hard time keeping it a secret. I wanted to tell him so badly and a few times I almost did. I had to make a conscious effort to keep my mouth shut.
Yesterday was the big day. I had the perfect plan! Since I was going to be proposing, I was going to embarrass him and do it publicly...little did I know that I would embarrass myself more than him. I chose to do it at the Iceberg Drive-In restaurant where he remembered meeting me. We actually met at church. The reason he remembers meeting me at Iceberg was because I called him out on liking some other chick. Anyway, I borrowed a friend's karaoke machine (to get everyone in the restaurant's attention), bought flowers, asked a friend in my ward to take pictures (Which I have posted below), bought a purple shirt to wear because it's his favorite color and I wrote him a poem (which I don't normally do because I'm no writer! I revised that thing at least five times). It was AWESOME! I had so much fun planning it. Here are photos from Brian's proposal.

I was so incredibly nervous, but so excited!
Putting my hubby on display was fun!
Reading him his poem
The poem and flowers
He is so patient with me through my ramblings :)

He was so shocked when I whipped out the ring. He was so excited!
HE SAID YES!!!
Our rings together
(his ring has a star sapphire which shows the star in a certain light)
Admiring his ring
It looks like he's in it for the long haul!
Love ya forever and ever babe!
After my little proposal, Brian and I went rollerblading at one of the local skating rinks. It was so much fun! We hadn't done that in years! It was so nice to be able to spend some real quality time with him. Thanks for the awesome date babe!

8 Months Old!
Today our little man is 8 months old! He cut his first tooth today too....FINALLY! It has taken forever for it to pop through. He's also got at least two others close to popping through too. Poor little man has had it rough. I was able to take some pictures of him smiling though! Here are his photos at 8 months old.
I cannot get enough of this smile!
What's not to love?
Our adorable little leprechaun!
Kiss me! I'm Irish! Honest!
(Look out little ladies! This one is going to be a heart breaker!)
You know you love me! :)
Our sweet little man is growing up way too fast!
