I went to audition for that LDS cantata and I was so incredibly nervous because everyone is so talented! I started to feel that there was no way in Hades I was going to make it. The director Joe Paur kept asking me to sing something else, but the other woman who was auditioning he didn't really ask her for anything else. He also couldn't remember my name. He remembered the other woman's name but could only remember my last name for obvious reasons. I was so sure I wasn't going to get in, but thankfully I DID!
Our first fireside that we will be performing all the music to will be the end of June. I just really hope that I can learn it all by then. With everything going on right now, I'm really struggling to get all the music down. Especially singing alto. I'm used to singing soprano, but enjoy singing alto, but it's definitely more challenging than singing melody all of the time.
