My quest for pants

Lately, I have been having the hardest time finding things.  Shocking, I know.  My latest item that seemed almost non-existent were some inexpensive maternity pants.  Holy Hannah are those things not only hard to find but ridiculously expensive!  In fact, I had gone to Walmart, Shopko, Target, Ross and TJ Maxx who didn't even have a maternity section (or at least not much of one).

I went to Old Navy and noticed the pants that I sort of liked would (no joke) have cost me $70 or $80 for only two pairs.  Seriously?  Call me cheap, but I think that is just way too expensive to pay for pants I'll only wear a couple months.

I know this may sound ridiculous, but for some reason I was a little squeamish to buy used maternity pants.  Not that there's anything wrong with it, I just was a little weirded out by it.  I don't even really know why either.  After probably the fifth store we went to on Saturday, I finally broke down and had Brian take me to the DI.  To my surprise I found three pairs of maternity pants in excellent condition!  One of the pants still had Old Navy tags on them.  The best part was, I got three pairs for only $6 each!  I couldn't even find one pair of maternity pants for $18, let alone three!  I was so ecstatic!  I'm thinking I may have to go back and try and find some more maternity clothes.  Thank heavens for the DI!  Oh yeah and the best part was after we finished shopping, my wonderful hubby was sweet enough to buy me a super yummy strawberry banana shake!  Mmmm!
What a great day!

I had the hardest time finding pants too. I finally found 2 pairs at DI that fit, and were affordable. I was really sad when walmart got rid of their maternity section. They still have some online, but I am too chicken to buy stuff online. I'm glad you found some.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the D.I. I actually got a couple of pairs of maternity pants there a couple months before I had Kate because my old maternity clothes weren't working so well anymore. I remember you asking for advice on where to look on Facebook a while ago, and I totally forgot about the D.I. when I offered my suggestions. Sorry! For some reason I was only thinking of the first time I bought maternity clothes and not more recently. Anyway, I'm glad you found something. I love the D.I!
