My cousin had posted this link her facebook page over the weekend and I thought it would be a fun project/activity to do with Tali for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun! Here are some pictures of how ours turned out.
One package of Oreos for the recipe I chose makes about 16 turkeys....if your children don't sneak them and eat them.
I used double stuffed Oreos (glued everything together with vanilla frosting), candy corn for the feathers, mini Reese's peanut butter cups for the body, Whopper malt balls for the head, pieces of colored marshmallows for the beak and then those little bags of colored frosting for the eyes and feet. They are a lot of fun to do with your kids and only cost maybe around $10 or so.

Since my birthday falls around Thanksgiving, my mom would make treats very similar to these every year for my elementary school class birthday treat. Thanks for bringing back a good memory. :)
Very cute! Thanks for the idea. Except I'll have to think of something else to use instead of the recess cups. Dang nut allergies!
