Wouldn't you know it, we found royalty. They were all living in the rooms next door. This week we covered King Benjamin's address in the scriptures. We took turns exclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and it's blessings. It's been nice having family church together each week. We don't do a lot of coloring in the adult classes. :)
As for this upcoming week, we're looking at new challenges. From watching the news, there have been protests against the stay at home orders across the US. My concern is that people may be opposing caution and creating conditions that might spread the virus more quickly. I think this week I'll be wearing masks to work. There have been businesses temporarily closed because of the infected workers transmitting Covid-19 around work and potentially to the general public. I don't want to be the one that caused others to be sick or lose their jobs. Potentially even lose their lives.
Our family has been finishing the school year in virtually provided classes. From speaking with our friends in Ogden, that homeschool their children, our virtual classes are more rigorous. We're staying on top of it, but I'm looking forward to the summer. I can tell those teachers certainly earn their income.
I came across some interesting things about our native garden weeds. While watching a gardening video the gardener pointed out a weed and called it amaranth. I was confused and said that's redroot pigweed! After some searching online and a book called American Indian Cooking, I found out that amaranth and redroot pigweed are the same thing. It's like finding tomatoes or corn growing as weeds in your yard. I'm sure the cultivated varieties are more productive though.
