Since we had time to kill until game time, we looked up this candy company that did free tours. It was mostly a hard candy factory, but it was still cool. Here are some pictures we took there.
Some of the old machines they used to use.
Tali was so intrigued watching the candy stretching machine and then watching them mold the candy.
I think Jairus was getting hungry seeing all that candy.
The candy stretching machine.
They had to mold it on this table that has an open flame so the candy stayed up to temperature and was more malleable.
Tali thought this candy looked like Rapunzel's hair.
They ended up giving us broken candy they couldn't sell. I was really nervous mainly because we never give the kids hard candy. Tali didn't eat it, but still thought it was really cool.
We even got these "super cool" hats. Aren't you jealous?
After the candy factory, we still had time to kill before the big game so we decided to go drive around the neighborhoods just to look. That way if we did end up living there we'd get an idea of which area we'd want to live in. There are nice places in Centennial (by the temple) and Aurora. The only downside was most of the homes had dead lawns. Although, we did see some homes that had nice looking lawns and realized they had put down AstroTurf. I was tempted to do that with our yard.
We had FANTASTIC seats for the big game! We were on the 19th row just past first base! As we were going to get hot dogs (which really are the best at a ballgame!) we realized the seats we had wouldn't be convenient with the kids. Especially if they started to act up. So we ended up moving toward the back of the section. We eventually ended up moving to the very back of our section so the kids wouldn't bother anyone or just in case we had to leave immediately. Here are some photos of the big game!
The field.
The mascot.
The kiddos
The seats (before we moved to the back).
During the game, three bats were broken and one was splintered. It was the coolest thing EVER!!!
The Rockies won 3-2! OH YEAH!
Tali was so fun! We would dance together and she would get so excited. I loved it!
We ended up getting baseballs for the kids, a mitt for me and an autographed ball for Brian.
My honey and me! I love this man!
The last half of the game was by far the best. The kids were so great for the game.
My two favorite men!
The stadium!
This was by far the best part of our entire vacation!
