The sixth day of our trip was starting out really rough. It was raining again and thankfully we had just gotten our internet back up and running in our room. I was frantically trying to find something for all of us to do that was indoors and the kids could enjoy themselves. The kids were screaming and not minding even more so than usual and I was getting frustrated as well as Brian. Check out was supposed to be at 11 am and time was ticking. We had to hurry and make a decision on whether we wanted to pack up and go home or stay the remainder of the time. We chose to pack up and leave. We figured it would be easier for the kids if we were to head home. The front desk was really nice when I explained to them that the kids had had enough of vacationing. They understood and refunded us the difference even though we didn't check out until 1pm.
Before we left Denver, we drove downtown and saw a Popeye's Chicken. I had never eaten there, but heard it was fabulous! So we ended up stopping there before leaving the city. I must say it was pretty good, but a little on the spicy side for my taste. We started heading home around 2pm and I had to admit, it was such a relief to be going home. We got home around midnight and we were beat. We just pulled everything in from the van and tossed it into our living room until the next day. It was so nice to be in our own beds, although it was kind of nice sleeping in a king sized bed at the hotel.
