Christmas Festivities: Part 1

On December 16th, my mom had invited me and the kids to her ward Christmas party (Brian couldn't go).  They were doing this Polar Express theme where three different rooms had different things to do.  They gave the kids little tickets that would get punched out for each of the three different rooms you went to.  One room you could make a bell necklace or bracelet.  Another room had a game similar to musical chairs, but instead of chairs, you would get on these "Polar Express" tracks.  A conductor would be in the middle of a circle shining a flashlight with two outside tracks going opposite directions.  They would start playing music and when the music stopped, if the conductor's light was shining on you, then you got a treat and were able to go to the North Pole.  They also did a matching game with pictures of gifts on one side and pictures pertaining to the movie on the other.  The third room was where the man in red was.  It was really cool for the kids!  Tali LOVED it!

For dinner we had yummy scones and beef stew.  It was DELICIOUS!  The kids seemed to like the scones best mainly because they put jelly on them.  :)  After dinner, we were privilleged to hear from a bell choir.  That was by far for me anyway, the highlight of the night.  I absolutely loved it!  I was just a little bummed that Brian wasn't able to make it.  He and I had had a previous conversation about how cool it would be to see a bell choir.  I was also bummed because I totally forgot to grab my camera.  I could not believe I did that.  I know.  Shocker, right?  I did however get a couple of photos from my ward Christmas party that I will post.  Well, at least we all had a good time.  I did however run into my ex-fiance's mother which was pretty uncomfortable, but other than that, it was a great night.  Thanks mom for inviting us!  We had so much fun!

Sorry the photos aren't that great.  My hubby had left them in his pocket of his coat which crinkled the pictures and then I had to scan them to our computer.  The original pictures although crinkled are still pretty cute.  Jairus's face just breaks my heart to see him so sad.
