On Tuesday February 7th, we said goodbye to our 1993 GMC Sierra truck that Brian's dad had given him years ago. We were going to fix it up and sell it, but we found that it had too many leaks and I would feel guilty and dishonest selling it to anyone, so we decided to donate it to the Make A Wish Foundation. It was part of their "wheels for wishes" campaign.
That truck had seen us through a lot of good times. There were many campouts in our single days, moving, drive-in movie dates, and even the very place where Brian proposed to me. I was too stubborn and too cold to get out of the truck so he had to propose to me in the truck.
Brian was so sad to see it go, but we couldn't afford it anymore and we also couldn't really use it for the purposes we had intended because we now have children. Even Tali was sad to see it go. At one point she started crying. No joke. She's a truck girl just like we were.
