Preschool Pumpkin Patch

Tali is really loving preschool!  Back in October (yes I'm STILL updating) her preschool went on a field trip to one of the local pumpkin patches.  Tali was going to ride with Brian and me, but she decided she wanted to go with her class instead of her ultra cool parents.  :)

When they got to the pumpkin patch, they read a Halloween book and sang a few Halloween songs.  It was so cute!
I think she is just so beautiful!
 Story time
The little boy two away from her is a boy named Brock who Tali informs me is her boyfriend.  So it starts.
 Group picture time.
Hahaha.  Our little man had to get in on the fun too.
The kids all walked away with their very own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and afterwords, went to Arctic Circle for an ice cream cone.

Changes

Back in October, our ward was going through a lot of changes.  Our bishopric was released and we received a new bishopric.  Our previous bishopric was awesome!  Our New bishopric though will be really good too, I believe.  The funny thing is when I heard we were getting a new bishopric, I was fairly confident on who our new bishop was.  It was really odd.  I'd never really thought too much about it before.  Our second councilor was previously the Elder's Quorum president (who is still the second councilor in the bishopric) and I joked about our previous Elder's Quorum President also being in the bishopric which actually turned out to be right.  I'm really excited that these wonderful men were called.  I believe they will do a fantastic job.  I am also grateful to have learned a lot from our previous bishopric and for their years of service.

Later that night, I was talking one of my best friends and somehow we got on the subject of children and I was telling her that I had a feeling that I wasn't sure that we would have anymore children because i didn't think I would have the patience to handle more than two children.  As I was talking to her, I turned the tv on for background noise and what would you know that a re-run of the October 2011 General Conference was on.  The talk that was on was by Neil L. Anderson and it was on children.  I got the impression that we were not yet done having children.  I immediately started to question my answer when Elder Anderson quoted President Kimball with the question "Where is your faith?"  It seemed I had received my answer to whether or not we should have more children.  As I was feeling a little overwhelmed, I started telling another friend about my recent revelation I heard another answer from another talk words of comfort.

Another change that I decided I needed to work on was also inspired from our beloved prophet Thomas S. Monson.  His talk wasn't entirely even based on prayer, but one thing he said that did stand out to me was "I have had countless prayers answered. Not a day has gone by that I have not communicated with my Father in Heaven through prayer. It is a relationship I cherish—one I would literally be lost without. If you do not now have such a relationship with your Father in Heaven, I urge you to work toward that goal."  The interesting thing was that once I started actually talking to my Heavenly Father as I would a friend, it was truly amazing how much closer I felt to him and felt that I was being heard and answered.  I felt loved.  I could not believe what a small change like that had made in my life.  It's something that needs to be worked on everyday otherwise, we miss out on so much.

I have never received so many answers or guidance from a General Conference as I did from this past one.  I continue to go back over the words again because I feel they were meant for me.  I'm so thankful to have such inspired leaders of the church to help to share with us the tools we need to get through this life.  I love hearing the words from our church leaders.  I love the feeling of being edified and rejuvenated.  I can't wait to hear from them again at the next General Conference.

Fire Station Open House

Back on October 15th, our local Fire Department had an open house and we were able see and do a lot of things.  The kids loved it beside the fact they were a little tired.  They did pretty good though.
It looks like they're ready to go off-roading.
We got to go on a tour of the fire station and during the tour they asked if the kids wanted to spray water from the fire hose and of course they all got really excited.  As we were walking around the back of the fire department, I noticed they had a vegetable garden growing.  I thought it was pretty awesome.  Anyway, Tali was pretty excited that she got to "help" the fireman with the hose.
She thought it was really cool to get up in the fire truck.  Then again, what kid wouldn't?....
Wait.  Don't answer that.  Jairus wasn't exactly thrilled.  At least he doesn't look as upset as he really was in this picture.
Well, at least Jairus isn't exactly screaming in this picture.  Of course he is with his daddy.
 Honk! Honk!  Comin' through!
I think by this time they were about done and ready to go home, but overall, it was pretty cool!

Food Funnies

My kids do some pretty silly things sometimes.  When we had gone out to pick some of the last of our zucchini in October, Tali took these three little zucchinis and and said that the big one was the daddy, the middle sized one was the mommy and the little itty bitty one was the baby.  Then  she started singing "rock a bye zucchinis in the tree top...."  It was so funny!
Brian had been teaching the kids about different foods we get from the ground.  They were so cute I had to take a picture.  And they're all smiling!
My little man makes me laugh.  He had been eating his breakfast when I noticed he had a cheerio on his forehead.  It had been for probably a good ten minutes or so.  He probably didn't even know or care that it was there.
He's such a funny little guy.
With or without a cheerio on his forehead, he's still pretty darn cute!

Little Moments

Yes, I am STILL playing catch-up.  Back in early October we decided to let the kids play in the sprinkler out back.....in their jammies.  They thought it was the coolest thing ever.  It was then that I realized how much and how fast my kids were growing up.  They didn't look like our little babies that we remembered.
I don't know what it is about our kids sticking their tongue out in pictures but apparently it was the theme of this day.
 And there it is
 Again,
 Again,
And again.
 They had so much fun.
Hahaha!  This little face just cracks me up!
 Love his big smile!
And......this was the picture that hit me that our baby was no longer a baby.  :(
I really love these pictures of Tali.  To me, she just has some very precious features.
I love her little facial features.  She's just so beautiful!
I love our kids!
